We’ve completed the fourth act of our Age of Fantasy: Skirmish campaign – The Baked Apple. We’ve also decided to finish our campaign. Read on to see a few notes on how the whole thing went down!
Last Saturday we organized our 8th… or was it 9th? ‘Demo Day’ at Battlefield Berlin. This time we offered five different tabletop systems (see above) to be tried out for a total of 8 games.
We’ve completed the second act of our Age of Fantasy: Skirmish campaign – The Baked Apple. 10 warbands were competing, each one following their very own, hidden or overt, agenda.
Trouble is brewing in the westward plains. An ongoing war is causing refugees to flee east, into the, if not well-off, then at least stable and self-sustained communities of two cities living next to the Albis river: the Bundesrepublik Apfegipfel, a rugged, conflicted human-dwarf commune and Weizenhof, a relatively cosmopolitan trading and farming hub.
As a club, we play an ever-changing, ever-growing number of tabletop games. Some are well-known staples, some are newcomers that recently riveted our attention. To give you some insight, we have started this irregular ‘Games We Play’ column where we’re going to present selected game systems that bring us joy. Today we will give you an overview of the author’s favorite game: Turnip28!

What Is This Game About?
Turnip28 is a root Napoleonic tabletop game designed by Max Fitzgerald (patreon). The rules are available free online and there are no official miniatures to purchase – turnip28 is a miniature agnostic kitbasher, which means that you’re free to provide – and build – your own miniatures.
We recently organised a whole-day gaming day in Battlefield Berlin. It’s a different format to our demo events: in gaming days we aim to just get several good games in. It isn’t a tournament either, since there are no prizes and just good fun.
One of our club members, Martin, was kind to do the camerawork and great editing of the whole event – take a peek below!
For the 3rd time, International Tabletop Gaming Club Berlin would like to invite you to take part in our demo day, taking part in the gaming area of Battlefield Berlin, or friendly local game store that’s located next to U Gneisenaustr in Berlin.
Demo day is a day-long event, where volunteers from our club run 90-minute game demos for people that are new to the hobby, are interested in the specific systems or just want to refresh their wargaming muscles. In short, demo days are for everyone!
In case you were wondering, there’s virtually no requirements to come. No previous experience, knowledge or accessories. We will supply you with all the miniatures and information you need. All our demoers will hold their games in English.

It’s time for a quick update on the status of the club. If you missed the previous update, check it out here. Today, we want to present our plan for merchandise (to proudly display your love for the club and help it raise some funds along the way) and for membership.
