Club Status

It’s time for a quick update on the status of the club. If you missed the previous update, check it out here. Today, we want to present our plan for merchandise (to proudly display your love for the club and help it raise some funds along the way) and for membership.

Tabletop gamers far and wide! Berliners! 

Things are looking up, our efforts to create an international tabletop club are starting to bear fruit. Our Discord Server has grown beyond 200 members and with our efforts with the official founding of the Verein moving slowly forward, we are one step closer to being able to play games on the same table, physically present. For the curious: we are still working on the Satzung (our bylaws), trying to make sure our club gets the Gemeinnützig status, which comes with quite a few advantages.

Being one step closer to creating our club, we need as many members as possible! Remember our previous article on the topic? Once the official club is created, we intend to welcome you into it as official members.
Initially, there will be no physical space associated with it – that’s because we want you to be involved in the search for a perfect space. Also meaning that you will have a vote on important decisions like: do we like this or that space ? and where do we want to move into?

Our next throw of the dice needs your help and commitment to succeed! Yes, we are still talking about the long term goal of gathering enough money and people to be in a position to get our own physical space. Long term, because the ongoing pandemic forces us to plan for next spring – when things hopefully will be better for a new Verein moving into a space and starting to pay rent…

Merchandise and Membership Poll

The discord server is alive and kicking, and growing every week. To strengthen the spirit of our community and to raise some funds, we have started designing club themed merchandise: T-shirts, custom dice, mugs, and more*!

We would like to know what you think about a “symbolic” 5 EUR monthly membership, as a way to support the club once the Verein is registered but before we have a venue. That membership makes you officially part of the Verein, including voting power! Plus having an actual list and number of members will be crucial when we actively start looking for a venue.
